Our Permit Process
Residents and property owners are entitled to two vehicle permits each year. Permits are required to park at Trumans Beach.
Non-Resident and Day passes are not available.
Residents and property owners are required to prove residency or ownership. Acceptable proof of residency or ownership is: Current driver’s license with a physical street address (No P.O. Boxes). If your license has a different address than one of Orient or East Marion. You will need your license plus one of the following accepted forms of proof. A tax bill, PSEGLI, National Grid, Optimum, Suffolk County Water Authority, or vehicle registration. All of the above documents must be current to this calendar year and the name on the document must match the name on the license presented.
Is your property held in a trust, LLC., Corporation, etc.?
You will need the following documentation: Driver license plus a utility or tax bill as listed above as well as proof that you are an authorized agent of the trust, corporation, or LLC.
Permits are available at the office at Trumans Beach from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Community Events
Throughout the year we host numerous community events. A number of organizations engage in beach clean-ups and habitat protection events. We open all of our properties to training for the members of the East Marion Fire Department, the Orient Fire Department, the Southold Town Police, and the Department of Environmental Conservation. Additionally Turtle Back Conservation Center, Audubon, and Group for the East End. We also host residents for the annual Orient Harbor Fireworks. During some community events parking can be restricted only to those with resident stickers. If your organization or group wishes to hold an event contact us at: info@orienteastmarionparks.gov

Public Meetings
Engage with local governance and participate in our monthly meetings where community members have the opportunity to voice their opinions, address concerns, and contribute to the betterment of Orient-East Marion Park District. Come and enjoy the process of small government at work. Engage with your elected commissioners on hot button topics such as finances, policy, conservation, snack use of the gate attendants, and the integration and training process of our avian co-workers. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of the month at Poquatuck Hall. Promptly at 6:30pm.

Document Center
Access important documents and resources relevant to the Orient-East Marion Park District. From meeting minutes to agendas and resolutions. In here, you will find the finest of records regarding the Park District. Since the Great Flood, we have not kept up with record keeping, till the implementation of the internet in the park. As we are able to recover lost historical documents, we will make them available to the public.
